What's in your name?

As I go thru here day after day I always wonder how it is people come up with their screen names. So my question to you is, how did you come up with yours?

Myself, well mine is from my "birth unit". I grew up in the most decorated unit in the Army. It is the 187th Infantry Regiment "Rakkasans". So there in lies the story behind my screen name. RAK is short for Rakkasans and then the number of the unit. I loved this unit like no other. If I could change my birth certificate it would say I was born in Rakkasan, USA. The Tori is a symbol of strength for me. When ever I feel down on my luck I know I can just look at it and think it could be worse, so get up and make things better. This unit changed my life and gave me direction. The leaders of the unit were like no other. The were tough yet respectful and ecouraging. That is how I came to setting my screen name RAK187.

I was Ops officer of 1st Battalion/2nd Marine Regiment in 1991. I helped put together a nice little, nighttime S&D op in Baghdad called (as you may have guessed) Urban Nightmare. Self Explanatory. My 1st name is Andrew, my last name begins with the letter P, and the 13 was Maurice Clarett's number while he was at Ohio State (I made the profile when he was on the NC winning team in 2002). Since they I've had a bunch of new profiles, most of them being andrew13##. I have a short temper incase you're wondering why I've had so many profiles. As for my avatar, I like to have a funny one. I come from an Italian family and I love soccer. So this is a picture of Christiano Ronaldo (a Portugese soccer player) with the text "I wish I was Italian". The Portuguese are one of our biggest rivals which is why it's funny. Of course if you don't watch soccer you probably don't understand. [ Reply to Comment ]

Growing up in High School we used to hang out on the street corner and talk and BS on Friday and Saturday nights. Sometimes my Uncle Basil would stop on his way home and talk with us. One day a friend of mine started calling me Bazz which was short for Basil. The number 34 comes from by high school basketball number 34. I just put the 2 together and came up with bazz34.
