Thanks to the USO

I just wanted to say thank you to the USO for the tickets to the race this past weekend.  They provided free tickets ($84 listed price) to service members and their family members.  This is just one of the small things that they continue to do to show support for the troops.  I just wanted to put a personal thanks out here on the blog.  I sent them thank you as well, but I felt it was worth taking a few moments to thank them not only for the tickets but everything else they do to support the troops.  If you would like to help out this organization or find out what all they do, please check out their website at www.uso.org

Go Kyle Go!

I really like the fact that with the growing number of Kyle Haters out there that he continues to rub it in with yet another victory.   This kid is so hot right now, I don't think there isn't a race out there he couldn't win.  Many people I talk too, talk about they can't stomach him because of how arrogant he is becoming.  Well that is one of the things I like.  I like that he isn't politically correct and could care less what anyone thinks, like Tony used to be and can still sometimes get, just ask Goodyear.  When something happens that he is involved in, I can't wait for them to shove a mic in his face and see what he is going to say.  Cause I know and you know he is probably going to piss someone off.  And then I have about two days worth of good reading on the auto boards.

It is also funny how all the haters out there talk about how he talks so tough but who is really afraid of him outside a car.  Well last I checked this isn't MMA and what you do out of the car isn't going to win a championship.  And I like the way he approaches it, who cares who likes me, I am going to try and beat you every time out.  Now that is a race car driver I can watch.  It kinda funny watching Denny and Kyle become villians and Tony becoming "a good guy."

And one last thing, I am especially excited to watch the JGR boys Wed. night at Eldora.  Kyle placed third last year and wouldn't it be nice to get victory there too.

Go JGR!

What's in your name?

As I go thru here day after day I always wonder how it is people come up with their screen names.  So my question to you is, how did you come up with yours?

Myself, well mine is from my "birth unit".  I grew up in the most decorated unit in the Army.  It is the 187th Infantry Regiment "Rakkasans".  So there in lies the story behind my screen name.  RAK is short for Rakkasans and then the number of the unit.  I loved this unit like no other.  If I could change my birth certificate it would say I was born in Rakkasan, USA.   The Tori is a symbol of strength for me.  When ever I feel down on my luck I know I can just look at it and think it could be worse, so get up and make things better.  This unit changed my life and gave me direction.  The leaders of the unit were like no other.  The were tough yet respectful and ecouraging.   That is how I came to setting my screen name RAK187.
